On May 14th Brigadier General A. K. M. Nasir Uddin, Director, RMCH inaugurated the newly renovated Walk for Life Clinic at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Department heads together with over 120 children, with their parents attended. Over the next 3 months our largest clinics will be similarly renovated.
On 8th April we were privileged to have The Australian High Commissioner HE Mr Greg Wilcock visit our office to launch “Changed Lives”. Since 2009 over 14 000 children have enrolled in the ‘Walk for Life’ program to correct their clubfeet. The program is in the governments Operations Plan and has now been designated a National Program.
The publication is an opportunity to say ‘Thank you’ to so many people: in particular the government orthopedic surgeons and our Ponseti practitioners. It is also a celebration of the wonderful results for so many children. We look forward to this close relationship with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare continuing for many years.
We were also honored to have as our guest the President of the Bangladesh Orthopedic Society Professor Dr M Amjad Hossain . We work closely with over 40 surgeons who are members of the society, and they make up a very important part of the ‘Walk for Life’ team. In the next few weeks the book will be widely distributed. It is also being printed in Bangla.
The Glencoe Foundation is proud to link with the Amena Baki Residential Model School at Chirirbandar, Dinajpur to promote on line teaching.
